He's a Sicko

I know, I know. It's been a while since I've updated. We're all sick, so things are a little hectic around the Podlucky household. Troy started it. I think he got sick off Julie's grandkids that came up to the studio Thursday before last, but that's OK. I say we've done pretty darn good to have gone the first 9 months of T's life with no illness. He started out with a cough that was clearly productive, moved on to a sore throat, stuffed sinuses and a fever. We took him to the doc Friday evening and found that he has an ear infection and an upper respiratory infection. He's got his antibiotic and cough medicine, so that's helping him a lot. Dan started feeling badly at the same time T did and now I've got it nearly full-blown. I'd feel a lot better if T would let me sleep, but he's not. He's quite restless at night while he's sick, so I sleep in 10 to 20 minute intervals throughout the night. He's definitely getting better though. Yay!

Meanwhile, I realized that Dan and I need to check our passports and make sure they're still valid. Well, we've placed them in safe spots...but those safe spots are soooo safe that even WE can't find them. We found mine and the marriage certificate together since I needed them to change my name. That was great 'cause I've got to get my passport updated to my new last name. Dan's, however, was on the lam. I gave him the assignment of searching for it over the weekend, but he failed to do it. So, Sunday night after seeing that a birth certificate from PA (b/c the birth certificate is with the passport) is $18 and we couldn't get it to order online. So, I had Dan watch the baby while I tore through the house one last time and searched all the places we keep things. The FINAL place that I thought was empty and Dan had already checked was "it". You would have never thought. Under "Herr Leiderhosen", a memento from my high school German class, and in a pink flowery photo box I found the little manila envelope! Yay! Now it's all up to me to get mine updated. I'm sure I'll try to get that done some time this week.

That's all for now, pretty much. I'm sure we'll have much more interesting things going on once the baby is feeling better.

Love to all!
